Today my tour started from Refugio State Beach, one of the nicest campgrounds so far. The Hiker&Biker site was directly located at the beach. Luckily it was not so windy as the day before and I had a pleasure ride to Goleta and Santa Barbara. The highlight of today's tour was Santa Barbara, a very beautiful city where I stayed for a few hours sightseeing and having lunch. After leaving Santa Barbara I went to the Carpinteria State Beach campground approx. 20km south of Santa Barbara and stayed there on the Hiker&Biker site in my tent (10$ per night).
61,8 km / 363m altitude difference
Follow me on my way down the Pacific Coast from Vancouver/Canada to Tijuana/Mexiko by my road bike. Starting point of the tour is the Stanley Park in Vancouver and will end at the Mexican border near Tijuana. Updates are given regular including the daily route, distance, stays, weather conditions and pictures. Due to the fact my stays include camping Wifi is not always available and updates are given belated. Feel free to add any comments and enjoy reading :)
