Day 22...Eureka to Hidden Springs Campground

This day started cloudy and ended up with a mix of rain and clouds. After I left the KOA campground I had a small tour through Eureka and turned back on the Highway 101. I used the opportunity to escape from the highway traffic by driving a detour on the 211 to Ferndale, a nice small Victorian city. After turning back on the Highway I left the Highway again a few miles later to reach the highlight of today's tour. I turned on to the Avenue of the Giants going parallel to the Highway 101. The avenue is build up on narrow roads along the Humboldt Redwood State Park with amazing trees. My tour ended up on the Hidden Springs campground which was closed because off season, so I stayed their for free in my tent surrounded by big redwood trees and mosquitos.
