Today was a fantastic day!!! 7 days of rain for one day like this, worth it! :) I started from Cape Lookout State Park on the Highway 131 over some steep climbs back to Highway 101, passing Pacific City (Awesome!) along the Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Otis, Lincoln City and finally to the Beverly Beach State Park. The roads were surrounded by sand dunes which are are favorite place for buggy drivers. The route followed the coast so I had a fantastic view all over the day. At Beverly Beach State Park I built up my tent and stayed there for free at the Hiker&Biker site.
96,4 km / 1016m in altitude difference
Follow me on my way down the Pacific Coast from Vancouver/Canada to Tijuana/Mexiko by my road bike. Starting point of the tour is the Stanley Park in Vancouver and will end at the Mexican border near Tijuana. Updates are given regular including the daily route, distance, stays, weather conditions and pictures. Due to the fact my stays include camping Wifi is not always available and updates are given belated. Feel free to add any comments and enjoy reading :)
