Today was a hard day! I faced the strongest headwinds from south I ever had on the tour. It was feeling like climbing a big hill all the day. The ride was going along the coast on the Highway 101 all the day, passing Gold Beach, Pistol River State Park and ended up in Brookings near the Californian border at the Harris Beach State Park, where I stayed for free on the Hiker&Biker site in my tent.
Along the tour I passed the highest bridge in Oregon, the Thomas Creek bridge with 345 feet, with some outstanding views on the Pacific. I also got my fifth puncture on my tour ;)
85,1 km / 928m altitude difference
Follow me on my way down the Pacific Coast from Vancouver/Canada to Tijuana/Mexiko by my road bike. Starting point of the tour is the Stanley Park in Vancouver and will end at the Mexican border near Tijuana. Updates are given regular including the daily route, distance, stays, weather conditions and pictures. Due to the fact my stays include camping Wifi is not always available and updates are given belated. Feel free to add any comments and enjoy reading :)
