Day 17...Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park to Sunset Bay State Park

A wonderful and sunny day! After waking up I visited the sand dunes which were located not far away from the campground which were prepared for some dune buggy races. After that I headed on the Highway 101 passing Reedsport where I had an amazing salmon filet at a harbor restaurant, riding to North Bend, Coos Bay and finally arrived Sunset Bay State Park where I camped again for free on the Hiker&Biker site in my tent. In Charleston between Coos Bay and Sunset State Park I met a nice old American who grew up in Berlin and was happy to found somebody to talk German again ;)
In North Bend I left the Highway 101 to Highway 540 to Charleston in order to ride tomorrow the 7 Devils Road with steep climbs and meet the Highway 101 again southwards.
