Day 32...Monterey to Kirk Creek Campground

What an amazing day :) After some unintended detours through monterey which cost me a lot meters in altitude ;) I went through Carmel and back on the Highway 1. The tour went along the coast through the mountains with steep climbs. So far the best scenery on my tour :) It was spectacular how the roads went along the mountains with fantastic climbs and descents. Even if the day started not as hot as the days before it became very hot in the afternoon with more than 30 degrees. I stayed on the Kirk Creek campground on the Hiker&Biker site for free. I also met the nice couple from Idaho again on the campground. We lost when I made the detour to Santa Rosa and had my layover in San Francisco. They also a layover near San Francisco, so we were lucky to meet again on the campground.
