Today the tour started as it ended yesterday with some steep climbs along the coast. When I passed the last mountain the landscape turned suddenly into a flat area with nice tailwinds. It was amazing as the landscape changed completely just riding a few miles. The highlight of the day were the elephant seals where thousands of them were lying along the coastline. They are stinking a lot but very funny to watch ;). The tour ended at the San Simeon State Park on the Hiker&Biker site in my tent (5$ per night).
66,7 km / 793m altitude difference
Follow me on my way down the Pacific Coast from Vancouver/Canada to Tijuana/Mexiko by my road bike. Starting point of the tour is the Stanley Park in Vancouver and will end at the Mexican border near Tijuana. Updates are given regular including the daily route, distance, stays, weather conditions and pictures. Due to the fact my stays include camping Wifi is not always available and updates are given belated. Feel free to add any comments and enjoy reading :)
