Day 5...Saltery Bay to Courtenay

After a comfortable night I woke up in the morning and it was raining! Luckily my tent was waterproof but I was not motivated to stand up and equip myself in the rain to go head ;) After 1h I finally pulled myself together and packed my equipment in the rain (Next time I will wait 2h ;)). So I started 11:30 with clammy equipment to Powell River. But at first I had a good breakfast at a near grocery store. Even if it was raining the most time the landscape was amazing but after 32 km arriving at Powell River I was happy to find a dry place. Unfortunately I had to wait 3h (!) for the next ferry to Comox, so I went to a nearby Thai Restaurant to bridge the gap while having a soup. After arriving 18:45 with the ferry at Comox I headed 9 km to Courtenay to the Cona Hostel (25$ per night) which I booked on the ferry via WIFI.
Summarized not an effective day but great experiences!
