First day Vancouver...getting prepared!

First day in Vancouver. The city is awesome and I already faced my first small hangover after visiting the Roxy Cabaret in Granville. I am staying in SameSun Backpackers Lodges located Downtown Vancouver (27$ per night, 4 bed dorm).
My bike arrived well after sending via FRA-SFR-HNL-YVR. I have to say the service of Lufthansa and Air Canada is excellent, bike can be send without boxing und removing pedals, only removing the air of the tires is recommended because of pressure peaks in the cargo cabin. The service of United Airlines on the leg SFR-HNL was a mess! After long discussions in SFR I had to box my bike within 30 min to catch my flight to HNL. United Airlines was not able to help me with equipment so I was dependent on the help of maintenance workers at the airport changing lamps to get tools and a newspaper man to organize a box! (By the way, Lufthansa promised me that United Airlines, as a Star Alliance member, has got the same packing regulations!). Also no problems with customs, bike was inspected but no issues!
Today I will go out and buy my missing equipment (tent, sleeping bag,...)
Thanks again to Ronny from the Polynesian Hostel Honolulu for the amazing bottle slide made of Hawaiian palm leafs. Let's see if it survives all the way down to Mexiko ;)
